The Doors: Live At The Matrix

This two-disc addition to the band’s live canon was recorded at San Francisco’s Matrix on March 7th & 10th 1967, just 2 months after the release of their debut album.

This release was produced by longtime Doors engineer Bruce Botnick who comments, “This is likely the closest we’ve come to a true document of The Doors without constraints.” A truly historic show, John Densmore comments about it, "The audience didn’t know they were seeing and hearing a future icon…of course, we didn’t know it either."

The collection also features cover art by legendary San Francisco artist Stanley Mouse, as well as commentary from Densmore, Krieger, Manzarek, and Botnick.

Widely bootlegged and traded for 40 years, these shows are now available to you, recently restored and mastered from the original tapes and sounding better than ever!
