Eric Clapton, Keith Richards and Billy Gibbons came together Friday night at New York's Apollo Theatre to pay tribute to the late Hubert Sumlin, the guitarist best known for his work with Howlin' Wolf. Sumlin died in December at age 80.

Also on the bill were Elvis Costello, Jimmie Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, his wife Susan Tedeschi, Robert Randolph, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jimmy Vivino, David Johansen, Keb Mo, Doyle Bramhall the second and many others. Proceeds will go to the Jazz Foundation of America, which helps impoverished musicians.

The house band featured Jim Keltner and Steve Jordan on drums, Kim Wilson on harmonica and vocals, Danny Kortchmar on guitar, Willie Weeks on bass and Ivan Neville on keyboards.
