The mining of the David Bowie archive continues with Glastonbury 2000.
Available on November 30th in numerous configurations, including DVD and vinyl, it was captured on June 25th, 2000 at the legendary British festival. He did 21 songs, and the entire performance will be on the DVD.
All formats include Bowie’s diary, which he wrote for Time Out magazine to document his preparation for the show. “As of 1990 I got through the rest of the 20th century without having to do a big hits show. Yes, yes, I know I did four or five hits on the later shows but I held out pretty well I thought… Big, well-known songs will litter the field at Glastonbury this year. Well, with a couple of quirks of course.”
Among the songs on this collection are “China Girl,” “Ashes to Ashes,” “Rebel Rebel,” “Golden Years,” “Fame,” “All the Young Dudes,” “Under Pressure,” “Heroes” and “Let’s Dance.”
