• Beatles got a Grammy as “Best New Artists” in 1964. They also made 3 appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show that year, and had 6 songs topping the charts.

• The “Pony” car hit the streets, but its official name was the Ford Mustang.

• Miniskirts & topless bathing suits were the rage!

• Jayne Mansfield, Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren, were the heartthrobs.

• Sam Cooke (born Samuel Cook on January 22, 1931 – died December 11, 1964) Bertha Franklin, manager of the motel, told police that she shot and killed Cooke in self-defense because he had threatened her.

• Ian Fleming (28 May 1908 – 12 August 1964) was a British author and journalist. Created the character of James Bond and chronicling Bond's adventures in twelve novels and nine short stories.

• This is the title track from the third studio album by The Beatles. 

• This is the first Beatles album to be recorded entirely on four-track tape, allowing for good stereo mixes. 

• The song's title originated from something said by Ringo Starr.  It was an off-the-cuff remark by Ringo, a malapropisms or  Ringo-ism, where he said it not to be funny... just said it.  

• It would also be the title of their first movie describing a couple of days in the lives of the group.   

• This song was ranked number 153 on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time"
