• MOVIES: “3 Men & a Baby” “Dirty Dancing” “Good Morning Viet Nam” and “Lethal Weapon”.

• T.V.: 21 Jump Street (The series provided a spark to Johnny Depp's carrer.)

• Snapple brings their Ice Tea to market.

• Pi is calculated out to 134 million decimal places with no end in sight.

• Aretha Franklin became the first woman inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

• “Howard the Duck” is released on home video. Disney threatened to sue Marvel (Which they now own) for infringing Donald Duck's copyright and enforced a different design.

• Heart was ranked #57 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.

• Heart has sold over 35 million albums worldwide.

• In June 1986, Nancy Wilson married screenwriter and director Cameron Crowe. She also made a cameo appearance in his movie, Fast Times at Ridgemont High in 1982.
