• The Chicago band was known for melding the style of prog-rock with the power of hard rock guitar, strong ballads, and the flair of a Broadway musical.

• The band has four consecutive albums certified multi-platinum.

• In 1970, the band members decided to choose a new name when they signed to Wooden Nickel Records; several suggestions were made and, says DeYoung, Styx was chosen because it was "the only one that none of us hated".

• No stranger to being on the charts but they would only hit #1 once.

• Styx with Babe your #1 @ 1 from December 1979.
