#1@1

The Chicago band was known for melding the style of prog-rock with the power of hard rock guitar, strong ballads, and the flair of a Broadway musical.

The band has four consecutive albums certified multi-platinum.

In 1970, the band members decided to choose a new name when they signed to Wooden Nickel Records; several suggestions were made and, says DeYoung, Styx was chosen because it was "the only one that none of us hated".

No stranger to being on the charts but they would only hit #1 once.

Styx with Babe your #1 @ 1 from December 1979.
