#1@1

• This novelty song was written and recorded by Dave Bartholomew.  It was covered by Chuck Berry and was his only number one hit.

• Because of the innuendo and sly tone of the lyrics, some radio stations would refuse to play the song, even when it reached number one.

• Berry was among the first musicians to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on its opening in 1986.

• Many of Chuck Berry’s fans were disappointed with this performance as he was one of the pioneers of rock and roll music. And known for "Maybellene", "Roll Over Beethoven”, "Rock and Roll Music" and "Johnny B. Goode”, this song was considered unworthy of his career.

• Here’s Chuck Berry with the highly criticized  “My Ding-a Ling” the number 1@1 from October 1972
