• The Who Concert Tragedy (December 3, 1979. 11 people were trampled to death outside the Riverfront Coliseum in Cicinnatti, OH. The city passed a by-law banning festival seating and general admission.)

• Coming from the L.A. club scene The Knack would take 11 days and spend only $17,000 to record their freshman effort “My Sharona”

• Sharona Alperin appears on the picture sleeve for the single and is now a real estate agent in Los Angeles.
