• Geraldo Rivera opened Al Capone's secret vault discovering only a bottle of moonshine.

• The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame opened its doors welcoming Elvis, Buddy, Chuck, Fats & the Godfather of Soul.

• There was that whole Richard Gere (or Jerry Penacoli) & the gerbil rumor --- not true in either case you weren't sure

• A 4th network called Fox debuts.

• Aerosmith and Run DMC mixed rock and hip hop with Walk This Way

• Peter Gabriel's stop-motion music video for Sledgehammer raised the bar for video production.

• This is the third release from the self titled album.

• The song was originally offered to Stevie Nicks.

• This song was dedicated (on the album) to Nancy Wilson's good friend Sharon Hess, who died of leukemia shortly before the song was made.

• The song is the first single on which lead vocals were performed by Nancy Wilson instead of Ann Wilson.

• When it came time for Nancy Wilson to record her vocal, she was suffering from a cold and her voice sounded somewhat raspy and gravelly.  Producers reportedly wanted Nancy to recreate the gravelly sound on future recordings, asking her, "Can't you just get sick again?"

• It was the first song by the band to become a number one hit.

• Here’s Heart with These Dreams the #1 @ 1 from March 1986.
