Athens, GA Inside/Out, the 1987 documentary about the music scene in R.E.M.'s hometown, will finally be released on DVD on October 9th.

Athens, GA Inside/Out, the 1987 documentary about the music scene in R.E.M.'s hometown, will finally be released on DVD on October 9th. The CD-DVD package includes a re-mastered version of the long out-of-print soundtrack with bonus songs from the film that weren't on the original album. It also features interviews about the film with members of the B-52's and Widespread Panic.

The R.E.M. cuts on the soundtrack were a live version of the Life's Rich Pageant track "Swan Swan H" and a cover of The Everly Brothers' "All I Have to Do Is Dream."
