ROLLING STONES: Happy Anniversary

It looks like the big 50th anniversary announcement from The Rolling Stones today was a bit of a dud. They've re-launched their website today (Thursday), and last night (Wednesday), Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood posed for a commemorative photo in front of the Marquee.
Today (Thursday) is the 50th anniversary of the first concert by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Brian Jones. Billed as The Rollin' Stones - minus the G in Rolling - they were backed at London's Marquee club by pianist Ian Stewart, bassist Dick Taylor, who went on to form The Pretty Things, and Tony Chapman, not future Kinks member Mick Avory, on drums.
Though there are still no firm plans for a tour, anniversary plans include the official book Rolling Stones 50 book, which is out today, a photo exhibit at London’s Somerset House from tomorrow through August 27th and a new documentary film, which will be released in November.
