ROLLING STONES: 50 Years in 700 Photos Over 352 Pages |
| While we wait to see if The Rolling Stones will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a tour, we'll have to pass the time with an official 50th anniversary coffee-table book curated by the band instead. Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie say The Rolling Stones: 50 "is our story of 50 fantastic years. We started out as a blues band playing the clubs, and more recently we've filled the largest stadiums in the world with the kind of show that none of us could have imagined all those years ago." The book will be filled with photos and other "ephemera from and beyond our archives." Hyperion will publish The Rolling Stones: 50 in the fall.
The 50th anniversary is based on is the band's first appearance at London's Marquee Club on Thursday, July 12th, 1962. |
