STYX: Welcome to the Grand Illusion CD & DVD

In 2010, Styx joined the many acts who have been performing albums in their entirety in concert when they did not one, but two over the course of a night -- 1977's The Grand Illusion and 1978's Pieces of Eight. Among the songs on those albums are such Styx concert staples as "The Grand Illusion," "Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)," "Come Sail Away," "Miss America," "Blue Collar Man" and "Renegade." The cameras were rolling when the tour pulled into Memphis in November 2010 at the Orpheum Theater and the result is The Grand Illusion / Pieces of Eight Live in stores today on DVD, Blu-ray and a two-CD set.

Singer-guitarist James "JY" Young tells us they rehearsed more for this tour than they did for any other over the last decade. "It was well worth it because ultimately the result just really wowed the fans that came out to see it and hopefully this [release] will create more interest for us to do this on a larger scale."

Styx starts their winter tour tomorrow night in Wenatchee, Washington.
