THE BEATLES: A Week That Changed the World |
|
Actor and E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt says The Beatles' two performances this week in 1964 on The Ed Sullivan Show "changed the world, and I'm not exaggerating. The Beatles and Rolling Stones and Kinks and The Who and Yardbirds and all those 'British Invasion' guys set a very, very high standard for us." On this day in 1964, The Beatles made their second appearance on Sullivan, this time performing from the Deauville Hotel in Miami. They did "She Loves You," "All My Loving," "I Saw Her Standing There," "From Me to You" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand." |
