AC/DC: Back in the Pack...But Not That Far Back |
|
AC/DC singer Brian Johnson had a good showing in last weekend's Rolex 24, the 24-hour endurance auto race at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. It was his first time racing a 500-mile-per-hour Daytona prototype and his team came in 32nd out of a field of 60. As for what it was like, he said, "My dream had come true... It's a wonderful feeling." Johnson was also racing to raise money for the "Highway to Help" campaign to raise funds and awareness for the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. Throughout the race, the team encouraged fans to text "2232" to 501501 to donate $10 to the Foundation. Johnson's goal was $1 million and the final figure has not yet been made available. |
