AEROSMITH: Delayed and, They Should Have Looked Up

Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton has confirmed what we first reported last month -- their next album will be out in the fall, not this spring as promised by Steven Tyler.

They continue to work in Los Angeles with producer Jack Douglas, and while Tyler says he loves singing the new songs he's written, he's questioning if they are the "just right songs." It will be their first collection of original material since 2001's Just Push Play.

While drummer Joey Kramer is headed back out to L.A. to join Tyler and Joe Perry in the studio, Hamilton is still back in Boston, where his dog Papaya underwent cancer surgery on Monday. He tweets, "The doctor said it went well. Hopefully now she can get back to humping stuffed animals."

Hamilton also commented on Aerosmith being on 60 Minutes last month, saying they were tricked into talking negatively about Steven Tyler because correspondent Lara Logan was wearing a low-cut blouse. He says he said to himself, "Okay, this is sort of, 'Get the band nervous with your cleavage and make them say stuff.' And if you go and watch the interview, you won't see that. So I'm like, 'Ahh, that's how they do it.' They show their boobs and get you to talk about stuff. And then, there you are... It works every time."
