SCORPIONS: People, It's Only a Rock Concert
A protest is planned for Friday in South America over canceled Scorpions show.
The Scorpions were scheduled to do their first-ever show last week in the South American country of Paraguay, but severe storms put an end to that, and as a result, their fans are protesting. This Saturday they will hold a demonstration in the Plaza de la Democracia in the town of Asunción, where the show was to be held, demanding that the band return to make up the date soon. The Scorps have posted a note on their website saying, "There is little hope of this gesture resulting in a favorable result. The Scorpions have now returned to Germany after the conclusion of the Final Sting Tour South America..." The show's promoter starting issuing refunds today (Wednesday). The band is hoping to reschedule the date. Their next show is scheduled for October 17th in Turkey.
