PETER FRAMPTON: Making Ballet Come Alive |
|
Peter Frampton tells us his next project is to write 20 minutes of music to perform with the Cincinnati Ballet in April 2013. The piece will serve as the finale for a dance program that will begin with older Frampton music. Frampton plans to record and release the music as well. He's hoping the ballet event will be filmed for a PBS special or something along those lines.
Frampton is not the first rock artist to compose a ballet score. Paul McCartney scored Ocean's Kingdom for the New York City Ballet last year, and the Alberta (Canada) Ballet put together Love Lies Bleeding, a production based on Elton John's life and music, in 2010.
