BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN: "Big Man" is "Irreplaceable"

Steve Van Zandt says Bruce Springsteen felt it was best to have a five-piece horn section instead of a lone saxophone player in place of the late Clarence Clemons when the E Street Band hits the road in March. "Obviously Clarence is irreplaceable," says Van Zandt. "But the music needs to continue... Those solos will be covered because they're such an important part of the compositions at this point."

Springsteen starts the tour on March 18th in Atlanta in support of his new album, Wrecking Ball, in stores March 6th.

Another former bandmate of Springsteen's has passed away. Bass player Vinnie Roslin, who played with Springsteen in Child and Steel Mill, recently died at his brother's home in Jackson, New Jersey after a long illness. He was 65.
