YES: Owner of a Big Set of Cojones |
|
Jon Anderson has yet another bone to pick with his former Yes bandmates. After passing him over for two sound-alike replacements on tours, bassist Chris Squire tried to hit him up for free tickets to an Anderson solo show. Jon says, "I haven't spoken with Chris in four years, and the only E-mail I have received from him in the last three years was him asking for free tickets to my show in Mesa, Arizona last week -- very sad, but true." Squire obviously sees things differently. He says, "I have never closed the door on working with Jon again. He has left the band before and come back and left it again and come back. It is an unusual situation. We will work together in the future, but right now we are promoting the Fly From Here album, which is our first studio album in 10 years." When Anderson's health kept him from touring a few years ago, he was replaced by Benoit David, who stayed on after Anderson had recovered and who sings on Fly From Here. And when he was recently unable to go out on the road, Yes hired another Anderson sound-a-like, Jon Davison. Source: Noise11.com |
