THE BAND: Twilight Star in Bio-Pic?

The long strange trip of The Band looks to be headed for the big screen. Actor Robert Pattinson, best known for starring in the Twilight movies, says that he's signed on to star in the as-untitled movie, but has yet to reveal which of the members he'd play. Pattinson tells French magazine Les Inrockuptibles, "I'm going to do a movie about The Band, the one that played with Dylan: a beautiful script about the nature of songwriting."
The Last Waltz, which documented The Band's farewell show, is considered to be one of the greatest rock documentaries of all time.
