BLACK SABBATH: Another Drummer Weighs In

Former Dio, Black Sabbath and Heaven and Hell drummer Vinny Appice [pr: AP-uh-cee] tells us he doesn't know what's currently going on with Sabbath's drummer situation. He says he's gotten a couple of e-mails from Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, but they've been more about Tony's health rather than the state of the band. He says, "I'm really, really focused on that after going through [fighting cancer] with Ronnie [James Dio]."

Appice, whose new band Kill Devil Hill will release its debut album in April, says he was "sorry to hear about Bill not doing it," and that "at this point it'd be unbelievable to see the original band."
