BONNIE RAITT: Covers Gerry Rafferty and Announces Major Tour

Bonnie Raitt has recorded a reggae-influenced cover of Gerry Rafferty's "Right Down the Line."

The blues-rocker tells Rolling Stone, "I've always been a big Gerry Rafferty fan. I heard 'Right Down the Line' come on the radio a few years ago and the guitar came to me like a lightning bolt. Gerry was such a soulful and unique artist and I'm very sorry he passed before he could hear our version of his song." The track will be included on her upcoming album, Slipstream, which is due April 10th -- but was made available for preview via RollingStone.com.
