BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN: U.S Tour Announced, But No Word on Sax |
|
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will start their U.S tour on March 18th in Atlanta. This first leg will hit 16 cities, with multiple-night stands in Philadelphia, East Rutherford, New Jersey and New York. The tour also includes a headlining performance at the New Orleans Jazzfest on April 29th, and it wraps up May 2nd in Newark, New Jersey. The tour is in support of his new album, Wrecking Ball, in stores March 6th. Tickets for most shows go on sale this weekend. As for the announcement everyone is waiting for, who will play saxophone in place of the late Clarence Clemons, Springsteen's not saying. There have been reports that he has been auditioning horn sections and there is also speculation that whoever he decides on will be on the backline with the back-up singers. Nick Clemons, Clarence's oldest son, has taken to his Facebook page to tell fans that it is "Bruce's decision and whatever he decides to do the Clemons family firmly supports him." Clarence died last June at the age of 69 after suffering a massive stroke.
