DAVID BOWIE: Well, at Least He's Still Alive

David Bowie has a new book coming out, but it has nothing to do with music. Speed of Life is his collaboration with Masayoshi Sukita, one of his favorite photographers, who has been taking pictures of him since 1972. Both authors provide original text telling the stories behind the pictures they chose, in Japanese and English to reflect Bowie's love of Japan and its influence on his style. The large format book, published by high-end U.K. publisher Genesis, is a limited edition and is signed by Bowie and Sukita.

In 2006, Genesis published From Station to Station, the story of percussionist Geoff MacCormack's (stage name is Warren Peace) three-year run with Bowie and The Spiders From Mars.
