HEART: Behind the Box

Heart releases their first box set today. Strange Euphoria features 56 tracks on four CDs, plus a DVD of their 1976 Dreamboat Annie TV performance. Guitarist Nancy Wilson tells us that they'd actually started working on a box set about a decade ago, but that it fell by the wayside at the time. When Sony Legacy recently revisited the idea, they'd saved all the lists and files, so all the pieces were already in place.

Lead singer Ann Wilson says there are a couple of things she's particularly excited that fans will now have the chance to hear. "Bobby's Back" is a "comedy routine we did that's kind of a send up of a '60s protest song" while "Skin to Skin" is a demo she's always liked that "people didn't hear as sounding like Heart, but which I thought, 'Wow, this is what Heart could be.'"
