Brian Wilson has been the subject of several documentaries, but with The Beach Boys' resurgence this year, it's no surprise Wilson's website is reporting that a bio-pic is in the works. Oren Moverman, whose credits include the Bob Dylan documentary I'm Not There, has submitted a script for a movie with an unconventional storytelling approach.

Moverman hopes to place the audience inside Wilson’s head, "to understand how do you get into that kind of genius mind that has all this music, but also all this tragedy, so much pain, so many scars... There’s all these awful things, and yet what you want to do is celebrate the creative mind and kind of understand it. He’s a genius on the level of some of the greatest musical geniuses ever."

There's no word on any time frame for the still-unnamed project or potential casting choices.
