BRIAN WILSON: Receives NAMM Award

Brian Wilson received NAMM's Music for Life Award at yesterday's media preview day for the four-day music merchant's convention that officially kicks off today in Anaheim, California. He picked up his trophy in a two-minute ceremony, which included a couple of questions about songwriting and recording from NAMM CEO Joe Lamond, but no mention at all of The Beach Boys 50th anniversary year or their impending reunion.

Previous winners of the Music for Life Award have included Quincy Jones, Yoko Ono, Doc Severinson and Henry Mancini.
