BRYAN ADAMS: Feels Police Were Reckless

Bryan Adams was "very annoyed" and "shocked" after news that he was being stalked in 2008 made the tabloids. In a written statement submitted this week to the U.K.'s Leveson Inquiry into media standards and ethics, Adams said he went to the police after a Romanian fan and his mother had begun harassing him at his London home.

Adams believes the police leaked the information to London's Sun, saying, "Although I have no proof, and therefore it is of course speculation, I do not believe that there could be any other explanation than the fact that the source must have been someone related to my call to the police... If information of this sort is to be released, it should be done so for proper public-interest reasons, not to satisfy a desire for gossip."
