JIMMY BUFFETT: Grilled Over Gaming

Jimmy Buffett answered questions from the Nevada Gaming Board on Wednesday regarding his application for a gambling license, which will allow him to share the gambling revenue generated inside the Margaritaville casino in Las Vegas. He addressed two incidents in which he was accused of having drugs. Buffett explained that in Jamaica in 1996, the military there mistook his plane for a drug smuggler, fired 115 shots and hit it twice. And in 2006, French customs officials suspected him of carrying ecstasy, but it was actually medication for heart palpitations. Afterward, Buffett said, "[A gaming license] is a really big thing for me that I will take very seriously. We've had success, but we're going to have fun also." The board will announce its decision on March 22nd.

On Monday, Buffett's Margaritaville hotel and casino in Biloxi, Mississippi will hold a job fair. There are openings in just about every department, most notably for stilt walkers and "Biloxi beauties."
