CAROLE KING: Late-'70s Reissues Coming in Three Weeks

Four Carole King albums released between 1977 and 1980 will be re-issued on February 28th by Concord Records.

  • Simple Things, which featured the hit "Hard Rock Cafe."
  • Welcome Home, which ranges from the Beatle-esque melody of "Venusian Diamond" to the dance-beat pop of "Disco Tech."
  • The country-folk-influenced Touch the Sky.
  • Pearls: Songs of Goffin and King, her re-interpretation of the classics she wrote with her ex-husband and most famous collaborator Gerry Goffin. Highlights include "The Loco-Motion," "One Fine Day," "Chains" and "Hey Girl."

Carole turns 70 tomorrow.
