AEROSMITH: It's Official, Tyler's a Cartoon

Steven Tyler will lend his voice to the animated 3D movie Epic -- which comes from the team behind the blockbusters Ice Age and Rio. Tyler will play a character named Num Galoo in the flick, which is described as "a classic battle between good and evil" that unfolds when a teenage girl is charged with trying to save the world. Epic is slated to come out next May.

In Aerosmith news, Tyler and Joe Perry presented actor Johnny Depp with the Generation Award at last night's MTV Movie Awards in L.A.

Aerosmith's new single, "Legendary Child," has debuted at number-32 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart and number-two on the Hard Rock Digital Songs chart.

Aerosmith and Cheap Trick warmed up for their Global Warming tour by performing at the Walmart Shareholders Concert last Wednesday in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The tour starts June 16th at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

And Perry says he will publish his autobiography in the fall of 2013.
