BEACH BOYS: New CD Makes Album Chart History

The Beach Boys have made chart history with their latest album. That's Why God Made the Radio, which debuted at number-three on the Billboard 200, has returned them to the Top 10 49 years and one week after their first visit there, with June 1963's Surfin Safari. The Beatles didn't have a Top 10 album until February 1964 -- eight months later. And The Rolling Stones didn't crack that territory for the first time until December of '64.

Billboard notes that Frank Sinatra outpaces all the iconic rockers. The span from his first, Songs for Swingin' Lovers, to 2008's Nothing but the Best is 52 years and two months!
