VAN HALEN: Laughing in the Coop |
|
No doubt Sammy Hagar and possibly his Chickenfoot bandmate, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, are laughing over the news that VH have pulled the plug on their summer tour. Hagar says, "I'm surprised it took this long. I predicted this was going to happen a lot sooner. I lost money on that bet!" David Lee Roth is denying reports that VH postponed the tour because of in-fighting, saying, "As usual, we've bit off way more than we could chew when it came to scheduling... If we continue [into the summer], then we're asking for the robot-zombie tour, [and] you don't wanna get to that point." Roth insists the tour will continue, lasting upwards of two years. Right now, Van Halen's last date is June 26th in New Orleans. They'll be in Kansas City, Missouri tonight, and Hagar, Anthony and Chickenfoot are playing across the state in St. Louis tomorrow night.
