Janis Joplin's life story is coming to the stage for a second time. One Night With Janis Joplin, which will feature the late singer's hits as well as unreleased material, will play Cleveland's Allen Theatre in Cleveland from July 27th through August 19th before heading to Washington, D.C. The show is being produced with the co-operation of the Joplin estate, which gave "unprecedented access" to producers. The previous musical based on Joplin's songs, Love, Janis, also premiered in Cleveland, back in 1999. |
