Gene Simmons and Meat Loaf have commented on Friday's killings at a school in Newtown, Connecticut.

Simmons says, "Our hearts go out to all those affected by the senseless tragedy. Such tragic news."

And Meat Loaf, a former resident of resident of nearby Redding, Connecticut, says, "As a parent and grandfather, my thoughts, prayers and heart go out to everyone affected by the tragedy. There are no words. May God send all those affected the strength and comfort they need to get through such an awful, awful time."
