GREGG ALLMAN: His Rocking Chair to Bear

Gregg Allman says the seeds for his just published memoir, My Cross to Bear, were planted in 1979-'80 when he started keeping a journal. "I thought I'll be an old codger someday, sitting on a porch in some rocking chair and it might be nice to have all these papers to read and relive." Allman is currently on a book signing tour with a stop at Barnes & Noble in the Union Square section of New York City today followed by Bookends across the Hudson River in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
