DAVE BRUBECK: Jazz Great Dies
Legendary jazz pianist Dave Brubeck died early today (Wednesday) in Norwalk, Connecticut a day before he would have turned 92. Best known for his Quartet's 1959 hit recording "Take Five" -- which reached the pop Top 25 and became the first jazz record to sell a million copies -- Brubeck led groups for 70 years, including one of the first racially integrated miltary bands during World War Two. Brubeck was a 2009 recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors.
