PINK FLOYD: Have a Party

Pink Floyd's David Gilmour recently threw his wife, author Polly Samson, a 50th birthday party. He surprised her not only by performing, but by writing a song to mark the occasion. Backed by members of his last touring band, including Roxy Music guitarist Phil Manzanera, Gilmour debuted "Dark Horse, But Lovely One" for his lady. And since he'd put together the band for the party, there was no reason to stop there. He also played "Smile," "The Blue," "This Heaven," "Where We Start" and "High Hopes."

Among the A-list guests at the 20th Century Theatre in London's Notting Hill section were Ringo Starr, Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and Jeff Beck.
