ELTON: The Costa Rica Connection

Elton John will have a notable opening act on February 3rd, when he performs for the first time in Costa Rica. That nation's Culture Minister, the noted pianist and composer Manuel Obregon, will open for Elton at the Ricardo Saprissa Stadium in Tibas.

Obregon, who has composed more than 20 albums, told the newspaper La Nacion that his performance would not conflict with his official duties, since it's an evening show.

Elton's brief Latin America tour begins February 1st in Lima, Peru. His residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas resumes February 9th.
