Hosted by Songwriters Hall of Fame head Jimmy Webb at the soon-to-officially open Cutting Room in Manhattan, the A-list guests included Sting, actress Lorraine Bracco and mega-investor Ronald Perelman. Executives of Rondor Publishing, the Universal Music division that now administers Joel's compositions, were also on hand.
