THE BEATLES: Magical Mystery Cruise
A Beatles-themed cruise to set sail next March.
Add The Beatles to the list of artists with their own cruise, but don't expect to see Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr on the lido deck. The Cruise for Beatles Fans will set sail for eight days next March -- from the 3rd to the 10th -- departing from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with stops in Nassau, Bahamas, where they filmed part of their second movie, Help!, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. There will be performances by fellow Liverpool singer Billy J. Kramer, Joey Molland from Badfinger and Beatle-wannabe and former Ringo producer and collaborator Mark Hudson. And of course there will be a Beatles tribute band, Revolution, question-and-answer sessions, trivia contests and more.
Other artists who have hit the high seas include The Moody Blues, KISS, Styx, Bob Weir and Michael McDonald. The Moody Blues cruise, also scheduled for next March, is one of the fastest-selling artist cruises, having sold more than 72 percent of its cabins in the two weeks since going on sale.
