A previously unheard Beatles concert tape recorded 49 years ago was aired on the BBC. John Wilson recorded the November 1963 concert in Carlisle, England, and he let the BBC air part of the tape in a special on "Love Me Do." Not surprisingly, the audio of the band performing was mostly drowned out by girls in the crowd screaming throughout.
The Beatles' "Hey Jude" has been named the most referenced song in literature. The website Small Demons says the 1968 smash has been cited in 55 works of fiction. At number-two is Elvis Presley's "Heartbreak Hotel," with Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" coming in third.
