BEATLES: Here and There

Liverpool's Beatles-themed hotel suffered minor damage Thursday from a fifth-floor fire. The BBC reports no one was injured at The Hard Day's Night Hotel on North John Street. Liverpool's Echo adds it it took nearly an hour to extinguish the fire, which may have been caused by some renovations underway at the inn.

And a rare piece of Beatles history was recently re-discovered. Examiner.com says the invoice for a September 8th, 1962 concert at the Birkenhead YMCA, signed by then-road manager Neil Aspinall, was found in a cabinet at the Y that was being emptied. Crumpled up and yellowing, it contained information on a show done between recording sessions for "Love Me Do," which was completed three days later. It was the first time documentation was found proving that this show took place. The YMCA now wants to sell that invoice.
