Gene Simmons Family Jewels is canceled.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels is no more. After more than 160 episodes, the A&E reality show about Simmons' family has been laid to rest.

Simmons released a statement that says, “With KISS on tour and with my other business commitments, we have decided to draw the final curtain on our show. It has been a wonderful, life-altering experience for our family, and after seven successful seasons, we feel it’s time to move on. This is not the end of our story, it's the beginning of a new chapter.”

Since it premiered in 2006, the show revealed longtime girlfriend Shannon Tweed dealing with his infidelity, their separation, reconciliation and marriage, his numerous business ventures and plastic surgery. Their kids grew into adults on the show.

KISS, with special guest Motley Crue, is in Concord, California Thursday night.
