QUEEN: Another One for Freddie
Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor once again took part in the annual Freddie for a Day fundraiser in London.
Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor once again took part in the annual Freddie for a Day fundraiser in London. Also on hand at Monday night's gathering at the Savoy hotel in London were:
- Tom Jones, singing a cover of Elvis Presley's 1958 hit "One Night"
- Actor Sacha Baron Cohen, who's set to play Mercury in an upcoming film
- Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York
May and Taylor performed a few Queen songs with the cast of the Queen musical We Will Rock You and with Mercury sound- and look-alike Marc Martel from the Queen Extravaganza tour.
Proceeds benefitted the Mercury Phoenix Trust AIDS foundation, formed following Mercury's death from the disease in 1991.
