GENE SIMMONS: No Stick Up His Ass...Just His Ego

Usually it's the fans at sporting events who ask for autographs, not the athletes. But earlier this week at the Anaheim Ducks-Vancouver Canucks hockey game in Vancouver it was one of the players.

During warm-ups Canucks right wing Jannik Hansen saw Gene Simmons sitting rink side and asked him to sign his stick. Of course Simmons says he wasn't surprised. "He's clearly a powerful and attractive man and he recognizes the God of Thunder who walks the Earth and he came to pay homage." Ironically, Hansen is not a big fan of KISS, but he does like Simmons, saying he watches Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

Hansen used the signed stick throughout the game, but it didn't help as he only had one shot on goal, no points and the Canucks lost, 4-to-2. Afterwards, Simmons' wife, Canadian Shannon Tweed, commented how every time he goes with her to a Canucks game they lose.
