Four original Beatles songs have been licensed for use in new documentary about the woman who ran their fan club and served as their secretary. Good Ol’ Freda, premiering March 9th at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, will use “Love Me Do” and “I Saw Her Standing There” on its soundtrack. The Hollywood Reporter says cutting a deal for the music was a show of the respect still held by the Beatles for Freda Kelly. She finally has decided to tell her story -- she says, so that her now two-year old grandson will see it as a sort of home movie.
