GRATEFUL DEAD: They're Back...On the Big Screen |
|
The Grateful Dead will stage their Second Annual Meet-Up at the Movies on April 19th with the one-night only screening of a never-before released concert recorded on July 18th, 1989 at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin. Housed in the band's vault, this film is two-and-a-half hours long -- the complete concert -- and shows them doing not only their own material but covers of Traffic's "Dear Mr. Fantasy" and The Beatles' "Hey Jude." Before the film is shown, theatergoers will see a slideshow of rare photos of the band, along with a previously unreleased live track filmed in Hartford, Connecticut in July 1974.
